Go to neutral territory like a sandwich shop with your friend and her friend that you'll supposedly like.
Go ahead and meet the person in an open and low-pressure environment.

Hmmmm I remember when my friends tried that..... I have one for your ..........."NIGHTMARE".... never again... but their intentions sound honerable. Maybe it won't be as painful as my experience but you may just have a great time espeically if it's someone you have a lot in common with. The decision is ofcourse yours but what ever you do... keep it light and have fun...having a lot in common gives you both the advantage of having something to talk about. Best Wishes.

give it a shot. what's the worse that can happen? she's your friend so she knows you pretty well so she probably knows what your type is. worst case senario it doesn't work out. best case scenario it does.
