the airlife actually happened in 1973....when the arab countries, in an unprovoked attack, invaded Israel......but were repelled by the Israeli army....with help from the American airlift of equipment.....

As far as the current situation.....i think its too early to tell, what has been proved....maybe we can answer the question more decisively in 50 years when there is peace
