There may not be any God from your perspective. But for me I look at the animal and plant kingdom, the human body and marvel at it's intelligence in design. How everything on earth, no matter how minuscule serves a purpose and is inter-connected with everything else. Yes, a belief in a creator instead of thinking I came from a speck of dust, does give me a purpose and meaning in my life.

You don't need to believe in a religion but why throw the baby out with the bath water? Why not open your eyes to the world around you and think for yourself instead of allowing narrow minded science to do the thinking for you.

ewf, why are you not answering this person's question directly? Instead you are using my answer as some kind of diversion to
deflect away from explaining why you yourself doesn't believe in a God. I guess the reason you would do that is kind of self -explanatory,given the weak, pathetic "argument" you have against my own personal opinion on this matter.

Watering down my observations as a "cave man mentality" ooohh! ooga booga! I guess it's easier to insult someone's opinion as "simplistic thinking" when you're lacking in substance for an intelligent answer to disagree with them.

Rest assure, you haven't insulted me, just made yourself out to be ignorant by comparing my thoughts on the complexties and intelligence of nature to that of a FICTIONAL *cough* comedy movie where one of the characters sees a plastic coke bottle that falls out of the sky! LMAO!!! Don't you think in order to defend science you should actual use solid facts and evidence to prove what I'm saying is wrong? Oh but wait..you can't prove that I'm in the wrong can you?

Too bad that professor Anthony Flew one of the leading atheists has now said "there's simply too much complexity in DNA for life to have developed without some kind of intelligent guidance." Gosh, does this mean his thinking is now being reduced to that of a cave man?

Wrong. There is a god. Nearly everyone out there sees that there is one. Also, if you listened to scientists talk about the creation of the earth they would say it is highly unlikely there wasn't intelligent design involved. They can't say that there is a god because of separation of church and state. Also, the stuff written about gods drive you to believe it exists. The actual god was gotten right by the Jews. His name is Yahweh and he will be what he wills to be (not I am what I am). He did do all those things that suposed to happen. His son did come down (where the Jews get it wrong) but was named Yahshua (where Christians get it wrong). It was God in a bodie. There are actually three parts, Yahweh, Elohim, and Yahshua, three but one. It is the basic patter to everything. Ex: A atom consists of a proton, nuetron, and electron, three but one. Believing in God does not give you purpose in life. God just gives you purpose.

People who don't believe in God don't because they don't want to be held accountable to anyone or anything.

Worth and value comes from God, because we were made in His image.

Whether you believe in Him or not, doesn't stop Him from believing in you.

If you truly did not believe in God, you would not waste your time refuting his existence.

Think about it, How many people refute Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, or the Toothe Fairy? No one who is sane. Why? Because, these imaginary icons have a place in fantasy and it is known universally by mature people that they don't exist. There is no need to refute it.

Romans 1 tells me that you want to erase the knowledge of God from your mind, but you can't do it. Everything that is finite has a cause to make it exist. God made you and I whether you believe in Him or say you don't.

So, i'll pray for you.

Thanks for the two points.

if there is a god and life is a god's creation, then there is no free will.

if there is a God, what does God have faith in? as there would be nothing higher than god, then wouldn't that be a point of stagnation? and if God is formless and infinite, then how can you give it a form and call it god?

Budha never spoke about God. Not once. when asked about God, he would just remain silent.

yes, people like to believe, generally like to believe in something or the other....
sometimes they also force others to have an open mind so that they can force their opinion on others just to validate themselves...

any belief is dogmatic!

why dont we question ourselves why we have any beliefs?

most of us are scared to look beyond our beliefs as that challenges everything that we have known and lived by...

but only beyond the horizon lies wisdom...

There is no question. but i will try to answer it anyway. Even if god is not real, it will still be good to believe. Like you said, it gives you purpouse and morals to life, so that you will not be some evil freak. You can get hope in dark situations by praying to God, and ...ya.. okay.

If there is no God, there would be no judgement. If there is God, there is judgement.

If God does not exist, both those who believe and do not believe in God will not face judgement. They have nothing to lose.

If God do exist, both who believe and do not believe will face judgement. Those who believe in God have everything to gain. But those who don't believe have everything to lose.

Which side would you like to be?

have you heard of the story where the king locks up his son in a tower for all of his life, so that the son would never know of the existence of god? the king hated people worshipping god, and wanted people to worship him instead. so he locked up his one and only son in a tower, where he was not allowed to meet anyone, other than the kng himself. there was just one window in the room. one day when the king went to see his son, he saw him facing the window, with his hands joined and head bowed in prayer. the king asked him where he had learned about the presence of god, the son said, "father, i look out of the window everyday, and see the beautiful world, the trees, flowers, the sun, the moon, i see the day turn to night and the night turn to day, there must be some being, someone who does all that. he must be really powerful to control all this. more powerful than anyone else, and it is to him that i pray."

that is the reason that most people believe in god. just because they want to hold someone responsible for all things good and bad that happen in this world. people consider this world to be beautiful, and they feel that the one who made it, made them, would protect them from all harm. if no one believed in god, whom would people look up to for help, and whom would they accuse of all their troubles in their lives? as many have said, god is inside us, our inner power, it just varies how much someone loves his or her inner self, how much they believe in themselves, how much they do for themselves. people pray to god to bless them and their loved ones. people say that whatever you do, god will give back the same to you. actually, whatever we do, the people in this world give it back to us.

according to me, god is a power, a supernatural being, who can make things happen. god is not a he, nor is god a she. i believe in nature, in my inner self, and trust people. i get what i deserve, which i believe everyone does. i do not believe in heaven or hell, i do not believe in the god above the skies, but i do believe that heaven and hell are here on earth, the places you like are heaven, those you do not like are hell. the power lives within us, and it is up to us to unleash it, when we please and as much we please.
