LOL I love you too! But yes, I would and I have. There's a point where you have to make a decision of do you hate this person more than you would hate the act of doing something kind for someone in need? Usually, the wanting to help period wins over, at least in good decent people, of which there are not enough of these days!

Yes. I do it all the time. We work with people we don't like. We volunteer with people we don't like. We live next to people we don't like.

You never know that by helping that person, you may just find out that what you didnt' like is not their true character and the act of helping may open a new channel of communication - at least make it easier to get on the same playing field so that together, while you may never become friends, you can work together for the benefit the group.

Basically, as human beings, we have no right to hate any other human beings. If we deeply analyse ourself, we would realise that we hate not the person but some of his behaviour, attitude, characteristics orhis or her principles. So many a times, we jump to the conclusion that we hate the person, in fact its the content in the person that we dislike. So if we understand our own basic intuitions and instincts, then helping towards the need of the person doesnt become an issue any longer.

Yeah, I would even help somebody I did not know, but if they screwed me over i would try to bury them each chance they came around, I only do the cheek turning so long. Once is an accident, twice is a major mistake and three times is time to fix the problem once and for all.

If they needed help. Yes. I have had to do that. Jesus said to love your enemies as yourself. Sometimes God puts people in our path that "we don't like" so that we can learn to understand and get to know them. Most of the time, the things we don't like in others, are the things we see in ourselves.

Romans 8:28 --- "All things work to the good for those who loved God and are the called according to his purpose."

So, everything that happens in your life, whether it's a challenge, a tragedy, or simply having a "person you don't like" put in your path so you can learn more about them and yourself, is a blessing. Embrace the opportunity to be humbled, to be brought low so that God can turn around and raise you up~

Jesus Christ teaches in the Gospels to help strangers and enemies. He tells this in the Parable of the man who was robbed and beaten and left to die by the roadside.

He also tells this in the story of the Samaritan woman by the well

Yes, I would help someone I didn't like. Might be tough love, like telling them that they offended me and shouldn't be so mean. I wouldn't let them take advantage of me, because there are many who will be glad to use you and throw you away. But I might give them a ride, or food, or donate to their family if they suffered hardship.

as difficult as it seems , you can be sure of this:at the core of the heart, you have the power to move beyond the old issues that are still hindering your freedom.the hardest things -the ones that push you up against your limits are the very things u need to address to make a quantum leap into a fresh inner and outer life!

It would totally depend on my perception of the situation. I like people that I don't like, because we are all human and we all have to make it in this confusing world and man it's tough sometimes. If my gut instinct were to help, I'd help. I'd go out of my way to help. I feel a kinship with losers and people in dire straits. But if something inside of me recoiled in fear or uncertainty, then I wouldn't help. It's totally dependent on my gut instinct.

Do I really like the bum on the corner I give 5 bucks to help him through the day?

You don't need to like people in order to help them. You don't even need to know them.

Our world would be a better place if more people would help each other without expecting to be liked in return.

I don't like you, but I still try to help you! Isn't that selfless?

Probably not. I dont dislike many people. I can only think of 4 people that I genuinely dislike. They earned it by being especially assholish. I wouldn't help them out of a burning car, much less give them directions where to go (unless it was hell).
