YES! I went in 2003 during Arafats intifada and I was never scared.
It breaks my heart to watch towns I was in being bombed. I have 3 friends there right now and if I could I would go to help. People are making up boxes for the soldiers, gift packs for the kids stuck in bomb shelters and aid to familys that have come south to Jerusalem.
I would help deliver the boxes to the north as I know the area well and I would be there to pray at the wall.
For me--it is like getting a phone call that a family member is very sick--you just want to drop everything and go. That is how I feel about Israel right now.
Good question--thanks

I am going there Sept. 1st and have family members that live in Al-quds (Jerusalem) within the walls of the old city. I love my homeland very much and would like to raise a family there one day if it would ever become posible. My father was born in Al-quds and is no longer a citizen because he was not born jewish so he was unfit to keep citizenship in the town he was born in even though he commited no crime and hurt no one.
If anyone thinks that it is fair to take away ones home to benifit another, regardless of biblical history or political situations, then you are a racist pig. Every baby is born innocent of their fathers crimes, and to evict an entire nation of people just because another nation was evicted by Non-Arabs (romans) is not fair. the people living there in the 1940's did nothing to the jews, and i get tired of hearing that they have been fighting each other for 3000 years. It is simply not true. There have always been jews christinans and muslims living there in peace up until 1948 and it is a fact of history no matter how much some people wish to lie about it.
My Grandfather is a small and gentle man and he remembers life before Israel. He had a small store by the bus stop in Al-quds, he told me of the peace and prosperity that has been destroyed forever. People went about their lives and prayed to god in their diffrent ways, now there are soldiers in the holy sites!
WHY DIDN'T THE JEWS JUST MOVE IN TO THE LAND AS IT WAS? Why did they have to be so greedy and change the system? why did it have to be exclusively jewish? why exclude Christians (who obviously love jews so much?) why exclude the muslims? If you want to know why people hate the west here is your answer, ISRAEL.
It is not fair.

Yes, I would go to Israel. I would want to help the children keep their mind off of the cowards trying to kill them just for being who they are. I wish I could go to Lebanon, if only to tell them that Hezbollah, yes has built hospitals and schools and so forth so they can attack Israel and then hide behind the Lebanon and let Lebanon take the attacks instead of themselves. Cowards. I by the way am not a Jew, I am not a Christian, I am a Buddhist.

I wouldn't go there for leisure now, why would I do that.
But if I had some business to do there I would most definitely go. I don't think one should let his friends down when they are having some difficulties. I see Israel as one of the closest allies of the US.

Why would I want to go there? I never had a desire or a reason to go there, why would I want to go now?
There are thousands of places I would like to go, Israel is not even on the long list. By the way, I don't want to go to Russia either.

I think it would be wonderful to go to the Holy Land, and trace the steps Jesus took and visit the many beautiful places there. Unfortunately because of the problems facing many of those countries I would not travel there. It is just far to dangerous and I would not go there for that reason.

if you really mean now, then travelling in a armour vehicle with fighter planes hovering above and ground escort by soldiers
later on, ride on camel, kosher food and arabic food
are great ways to enjoy the beautiful countries.
