My father told me that I was a nobody and that I would never be anybody, to my face! I was 12 yrs old. When I was in my late 40's I tried to talk to him about being molested at 8 and again later(not by him). He just looked at me and laughed. I left. The next time I saw him just 3 mo. later, he was being loaded into an ambulance and went to the hosp. I hurried over to the hosp in another town. He looked at me but didn't say anything. He was talking to my oldest bro. and my sister about what to take care of with his horses and house. He was put in an ambulance to go to another town's hosp. because the firt one didn't have any ICU space. I followed the ambulance another 30 mi. and saw when they started cpr on him. He died. I had to take care of all 3 older siblings and do all the calling and arrangements because they were too shook up. I am closer to God, my Heavenly Father and didn't worry. Dad had been saved years before but he had never loved me like the others. I am ok but I figure God asked dad a few questions about how he treated me.

My paternal grandfather told me, when I was about 16, a few years after my older brother had died as the result of a car accident, that "God made a mistake, and you were the one that should have died".

Nice, eh?

My grandfather whom I was deeply attached to was killed when a deer went through his semi windshield. When I was telling a person I worked with about it he chuckled then replied, " Oh the deer won huh?"

My wife of two decades said to me, "You've wasted twenty years of my life."

What really hurt wasn't the fact she said it, what hurt was ....she was right. I wasn't a good husband. I could have been better. and she was right.
