but is anyone bothered at all by almost every credit card company as well as many other businesses routing their calls to other countries so that I have to struggle to understand some Arab retard who can't understand me either?

I called for customer service on a card the other day and had a huge problem with the rep and asked to be transferred to the manager to get someone who I could understand and the idiot put me on hold and then hung up. I called back and cancelled the card. I am tired of supporting other countries.

I hate the fact that you cant get help with your needs because of a language barrier .......I am so mad that we are so quick to let this happen. If we were starving and in there countries do you think we could get a job there without learning there language? In America English is a second language.........

I do think it's wrong that they are taking jobs away from American's, but also everyone should have a chance.

As of the customer service, I am completely with you. I had the same thing done with me except it was for my cell phone. I called to fix my voice mail and it took about 10 calls to get them to fix it right. I always got an Arab or something like that and they could bearly understand me and I them. It was frustrating and also when I asked to be transfered to a manager, I was put on hold and then like 5 minutes later they hung up on me. Luckly I got the name of the bastard and his extention and I called back and griped him out for it. I know that they record every conversation so yeah, maybe that will get some attention.

If some foreign company offers you a job with a great salary and all other benefits would you not accept it? or would ya say that I am a true American and I wont work for foreigners?
I work as a customer service rep in one of the call centers in India and we work for an American credit card company. I can understand your frustration because your jobs are being outsourced. But have you ever imagined what kind of pressure we undergo working for you guys. We work according to EST which means we work in night shifts. And unlike US where you have weekends off, we only have a day off and that could be any weekday. We work for 10 hours a day and we put all our efforts learning to speak in your accent. Even we have trouble understanding u fellas but we try our best to find a solution even if you are abusive. Giants like Microsoft and JP Morgan Chase outsource jobs to us not only because it reduces cost but also because they feel that we are capable of handling them. So stop blaming other countries and appreciate their talent

The majority of the jobs which illegal immigrants have here in the US are ones which typically people here either don't want because they think its to low or dirty for them or ones which they actually can't do/unwilling to do!

Work out in the strawberry fields for a day picking or digging up plants in the middle of winter!!!! You wouldn't last 6 hours let alone 12 to 16! And for minimum wage or less to boot.

People that LOVE their cell phones.... Not only are the phone companies here playing people like cheap nickel slot machines and making billions giving people brain cancer which won't show up for another 10 to 20 years, and won't be held liable for, they're doing it as cheaply as possible to maximize their profits and laughing all the way to the bank! Credit Card companies and pretty much all large businesses follow suite.... Maximize profits regardless!!!

Keep in mind too that the ones whom you're complaining about overseas probably only make 20 to 50 dollars per WEEK! And would kill for the chance to make even that!!! OUR beloved companies here are using those people too.... even worse really, they don't have as good of laws there as they do here.

You got it made!!!! Deal with it. You wanna change something? Change the corruption of big business!

I'm even annoyed that they're taking jobs away from American robots. With so many ignorant masses worldwide willing to work for peanuts there's no incentive to develop any automation. The world can either support a huge number of people at a low standard of living or a smaller number at a high standard of living. Most countries seem to choose the first option, don't ask me why.

I think you'll find it prolly wasn't a arab "retard" but more likely a person from India where a lot of companies are now switching their help lines to. As for the illegal immigrants...when was the last time you wanted to pick oranges or or some other job alot of people find beneath them or think they deserve to be payed alot more money thus opening up the market. Hell I'm not a illegal immigrant but everyone wants to complain about something.

Wow...OK, so you're not going to like my answer, but...

All of our forefathers were immigrants. They came here and took the land from the native citizens. Do we really have any right to complain that the same thing is still happening? No.

Our world is getting smaller and smaller. With any luck, someday we will truly be one wrold, with one economy and we will be able to embrace each other's differences, not hate or fear them.

If you are too myopic and short-sighted to be a part of progress, "buy American" and live your life without spreading hate and bigotry.

it is called outsourcing. Some companies use it all the time some only use it after normal working hours.

As a business you tell me which is better.

Having a call center in the states. payroll, benefits, utilities, taxes, etc. Average call center here in the U.S. several million a year.

Outsourcing it to a company that takes the business to god knows where. 375K a year one time expense

Which jobs here in the U.S. do you want that the immigrants have: picking fruit, gardening, day care, fast food, house cleaning or working at the car wash? Just curious. If it bothers you that major corporations outsource their call centers to other countries, write to their investor relations and boycott their products.

Well...big companies love the fact that countries with a less stable economy save them money...though a lot of people may not like supporting other countries..we really do need it.

Yes alot of companies outsource because it saves them money. Most companies like vonage ,aol and a few others have call centers in India. It is very iffy when calling because sometimes you can't stand a damn word and sometimes they are a big help.
