My wife is 5.5 months prego and has noticed that her heart seems to beat eradically at times. Similar to when you have a boost of adrenaline. Is this common or anyone else have similar occurances?

I had that with my second. Tell the doc, just so he knows. It is probably nothing. If she squeezes like she is having a bowel movement, it will stop it (that puts pressure on the vegas nerve). If it is something that continues after delivery, the doctor will look into it more and perhaps consult a specialist to look for heart issues. In the meantime, just be supportive of her, help her relax about it (she has enough stress on her body with the pregnancy) and let the doc monitor it. Best wishes to you!

Could be she is just pregnant could be a problem ask the dr. They did a EKG when I was pregnant cause my heart was like 300 and they never could figure out what was wrong they sent me home and told me to keep drinking water.

My aunt was admitted into the hospital when 4 months pregnant because they thought she was having cardiac arrest.
As it turns out... her morning sickness limited her eating to ONLY the most salty of foods. The doctor changed her diet and everythign went back to normal.
Consult your doctor if you feel faint, short of breath, or have chest pain- same goes for the preggers one.

She needs to let her dr. know - it could be a sign that her body is becoming overexerted or it could be nothing to worry about.
