I've read a good book about showing love to others. It's called "The Five Love Languages" by Gary Chapman.

In it, he says there are basically 5 different ways that people understand love. "Words of Affirmation", "Quality Time", "Receiving Gifts", "Acts of Service", and "Physical Touch".

Look at the way your sweety shows their love for you. Do they give you gifts? Do they take time off work to be with you? Do they always say how wonderful you are? The point is, they are probably showing you love in the same way they understand it. If they give you gifts to show their love, they'd probably like gifts. (and so on).

These are not my own ideas. These are some of the things suggested by the author that I thought might help. Anyways, good book. I highly recommend it. It gave me new perspective on showing love for others.

- Write a history of your romance in third- person narrative and present it on a special anniversary.

- Give a "Love Book" with your special one's name on the cover. On the first page write: "I love you because ... " Write in the book whenever the urge strikes you.

- If you belong to a group that publishesa newletter or bulletin your special one reads, place a message where he or she will be bound to see it.

- Put together a small photo album or scrapbook of the best of your times together.

- Sing him a love song & tape it, if you have the voice for it.

ACTIONS speak louder than words.
