Any of the "Oz" books actually written by L. Frank Baum as well as his "Adventures of Santa Claus" (a classic!).
Any of the little animal stories by Thornton W. Burgess, espeically "Old Granny Fox" and "Peter Rabbit" and "Old Man Coyote," --there's a whole series by Burgess.
"The Jungle Book" and "Second Jungle Book" of Rudyard Kipling. Also "Just So Stories" by Kipling.
Perrault's Fairy Tales illustrated by Gustav Dore (a masterpiece!)

{boys} pokemon, beyblade, pokemon,funny storis for seven yr olds
& 4 everyone fairy tailes like snow white,hansel and gretel.and books on noddy and 8'o'clock tales by enid blyton

buy some story books like cindrella or fairy tails..
if possible buy some simple exercise books..
