ac/dc totally rocks! any time a band loses a member and has to replace it, especially the lead singer, and they turn out just as good (or almost at least) as the original line up, you know that they are an awesome band. take away billy joe and replace him, and you have nothing.

I'm sorry, but you can't even compare Green Day to AC/DC.
How could you POSSIBLY think Green Day could rival their legendary status?
Anyone who answers Green Day to this question has never heard AC/DC in their life. AC/DC is THE definition of rock. Period.

AC/DC! ac/dc has a better voice and its a shame to compare them to green day! its almost a isgrace, i like green day, but not that much.

How do you compare apples and oranges?? They are not in the same genre. AC/DC is good in their genre. Green Day is good in their genre.
I personally love Green Day but that is a personal preference not a reflection on talents or abilities of AC/DC.

AC/DC. A) One's a pop-punk band and the other is a classic rock band, so they're really not too comparable, and B) AC/DC has better musicianship (well, Angus Young, at least), and where Green Day has their whole whimpy, hot-topic deal (relevant issues, my eye), AC/DC just has pure badassery. Only word to describe it, really.
But Cream is better then both, so who really cares?

AC/DC. still kicking azz after all these years. Plus you hear other band lead singers trying to sound like Bon Scott. So AC/DC is better.

AC/DC ...top five reasons:
1) way better guitar playing
2) way better singing
3) Green Day simply has noooo song like "Big Balls", "Highway to Hell", "Shook me All Night Long", etc.
4) Angus schoolboy uniform (can't have a better prop than that)
5) Angus mooning the crowd at a concert
