They're not accepting what the truth of the situation, circumstance, or true nature and intent of the individual that are involved! They're insecure and afraid to loose whatever relationship this provides for them! This could be a temporary lapse in judgement or this is a part of their personality! Sadly, some people function quite well in this state of denial and constantly tolerating relationships that don't offer them the type of fulfilment they are seeking and deserve as a human being! But you see that the key - they have a self esteem issue and they feel they can't be treated any differently - so why rock the boat! This person is offering some type of attention! It's frustrating to watch someone do this to themselves and if it's you - well please get some counselling and stop this type of interaction with people - you're worth so much more!

WE HOPE AGAINST HOPE THAT THINGS WILL BE DIFFERENT THIS TIME AND THAT THE PERSON THAT WE ARE TRUSTING WILL NOT BE LYING TO US. YOU SOUND LIKE YOU HAVE BEEN IN THIS POSITION BEFORE. TAKE HEART YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS FALLEN FOR SOME LINE THAT WE HOPE WILL BE THE TRUTH AND NOT THE SOME OLD LIE. PULL YOUR SELF UP AND NEXT TIME CHECK OUT THE ONE THAT YOU THINK MAY BE LYING TO YOU. YOU WILL THANK YOURSELF FOR IT LATER.

They obviously don't know better. Some people enjoy being stupid, and the only thing you can do is leave them alone. After all, they are happy being unhappy.

Hear no evil. Speak no evil. See no evil. Some people blind themselves from the truth, comfy with their perception of the truth.

Hope springs eternal. We always want the best for ourselves, and we hope that someone will love us for who we are. If someone hurts us, we feel bad, but as I said, hope springs eternal.
