naahh...i think big parades are awful.

Nope. Parades are awful no matter how big they are or where they are. Mainly because you can never tell when they are over. I once stood watching a parade for 6 hours. It turns out the parade was only 2.5 hours long. I thought all the people going down the street in their cars waving at me was still in the parade. Then one guy flipped me off and I knew it was over.

I don't think you're bad. I live in a small town and I love my town, but every year on Canada Day (July 1) we have to have a parade. It's SO short, if you blink you miss it, and so lame and totally pointless. In my opinion. So I have to laugh in secret, but I love my town even when it's cheezy.

Where I live, on July 4th,
there is a small town parade
every year, that consists mostly
of old men and their tractors.
It just doesn't excite me...lol
I guess we're both bad!

No, it's just not your thing. One time my husband took me to a "county fair" in his home area. Well I am from a metropolitan region so county fairs are pretty big. I could only stand to be there about 10 minutes, it was so boring! The state fair of his state was as big as the county fairs I was used to. Well, thanks for giving me a chance to share a pointless anecdote.

no, as a matter of fact, you are not. I've been to several that I didn't think were very good, either because there wasn't enough participation or poor planning.
