Well yea.. I like this boy and his name is Andy.. Well he doesn't know I like him.. Yet.. But I think that if I tell him I'll get embarresed or something... He's 14 and I'm 12.. Well.. In Cuba it doesn't matter.. (That's my nationality) But I don't know about age here in U.S.
Does.. It matter if someone's 2 years older or younger than you?

Age doesn't matter if you plan only to be friends.
But to get into a serious boy-girl relationship is another matter. I think both of you are still too young for that. What you need to concentrate on right now is your studies. Get a good education while you are still young so you can have better chances for work in the future. There will be plenty of time for relationships later in your life and as you grow/mature and become more stable, you will have better ways to handle them.
[Try to remember that Life is a process. And it goes by natural steps and sequences. No short-cuts. We "mess" it up when we do not follow nature's steps. Just imagine, if you got pregnant right now, will you be able to accept that and the responsibilities that go with it? Can you be be a good mom? Can you support your child? Can you accept married life? These are only some of the questions you need to think about.]
Some things can wait.
Serious relationships require maturity and responsibility.

It depends on how old you are. 2 years doesn't matter when you're, say 20 and 22. When you're younger it depends. Are you in junior high and him in high school? That is kind of a big difference. Also take into consideration: have you known him a long time? do you know him well? It all depends on the situation.

the age is just fine. My advice to you is to become good friends with him, talk to him on the phone and get to know him very good before you do anything. I would wait for him to make the first move but sometimes guys need a little push. Give him little hints that you might have a crush on him and leave it at that. Once he gets the idea that you might like him let him do the rest.

hey shelly.u should go & tell him tat u like him.& it doesnt depend upon the age unless there's toooooooooo much of difference.ur 12 & he's 14 then its absolutely alrite.it doesnt matter at all unless he's got a probs with it. BEST OF LUCK!

No it is okay here in u.s. But if he is 14years old and you are 12 years old that okay because i date a boy that is 16 years old then me.And no one said anything to me because he was 16 years older.
