what else can i feed my dwarf hamster?

other than normal hamster food that you buy at the store what can dwarf hamsters eat?

besides all the mentioned above, i also give my hamster grean tea leaves (after i drink the tea, i give him the wet grean tea leaves) and he REALLY LOVE IT!!! some people said dog biscuit also can be given.

common human eat veggies and fruits, i'll give my hamsters once in a while. BUT DO NOT give hamsters any flowers (some flowers are toxic). and also i've read somewhere that hamsters cann't eat uncooked potato. so for your pet's safety, don't give him any potato.

besides that, do feed your hamsters junk food we eat (potato chips, fries etc) and also oily stuff. MOST IMPORTANTLY. DO NOT FEED THEM CHOCOLATE!!! chocolate might be what all human like. but to most af the animal (including dogs, cats,hamster etc) these chocolate contain some substance that is toxic to animal.

also, do not feed hamsters with sweets and rice (and other high carbo diet), they will get diabetes (its true. they will get the exaclt same simptom like diabetes in human -- drink a lots of water and pee a lot).

the best thing to do is actually give your hamster less variety. when he is hungry enough he will learn to eat his hamster food, because that what is most balanced for him. it is ok to give him small bits of fruit and vegetables as a treat, but if he has the choice he will only eat that (since it's sweeter) and then he will get full and not eat the right nutrients that he really needs. sometimes a little tough love is best

Actually, to give your hamster a balance diet, you need to give them fresh veggis too. I gave mine (besides the normal dry stuff), fresh cut carrots, apples, pears and even bean sprouts. Cut them in small bite size for them, just a little will do cause they dun really eat much. Give them everyday. I even give them some steam fish (it's really good for a shiny coat) once a fortnight. You can try!
