Why do different people keep answering a question that has already been answered?

There are a few basic reasons people keep answering a question:

1.) They have a varying opinion.

2.) They want to confirm what others have already said.

3.) They want to say something in their own words.

4.) They want the 2 points, and possibly the 10.

5.) They didn't read the other answers before giving their own.

6.) There weren't any answers when they began typing their answer, but typed slower than some others who gave an answer.

7.) They just don't care.

I know it happens to me quite a bit that I might think I'm going to be the very first person to answer a question, but by the time I'm done writing my answer and submit it, there are five people who posted the same basic answer.

because some people take longer to type out their response than do others. by the time they actually finish writing and submit the answer, several people may have already beaten them to the punch. but that's no reason to go back and delete the answer.

they want to give more of a comfimations that its right
