Supertroopers - For anyone. You will be laughing so hard and will be quoting it til it hurts.
Rudy - Good football movie about overcoming the odds and doing whatever it takes (you have to see it sometime, it's one of those movies that will never go away and everyone has seen and talk about)
Hoosiers - Basketball Good Cinderella movie about little town in Indiana has old tradition and is into their high school basketball, new coach comes and shakes everything up winning state - Same thing as above
Bad News Bears - Another same as above. You will have to see it one time in your life. Baseball. A bunch of rejects make a team because they can't be on any other team and they make it to the championship and they have a coach that falls in love with the kids.
Rainman - Great sentimental movie about getting to know your brother through cross country road trip. Goes from trying to use him to loving him
Spiderman - Just a good superhero movie
Stand by me - Great coming of age movie. Boys take a journey to find a dead body and its just a really good movie. (I recommend this for you)
Remember the Titans - Football. Around the 1960s with the racial division. About working as a team with white and blacks.
BaseKETball - If you like southpark or just like comedies you will love this. It's from the creators of south park.
Wedding Crashers - Just good movie.

I liked my "Super ex- Girlfriend" for a laugh. (saw it at a drive-inwith my girlfriend and we both laughed).
To rent "MatchPoint " by Woody Allen is very dark but will keep you interested until the end.
If you want a very funny old movie with Bill Murray
" Quick- Time" - he dresses up as a clown to rob a bank with Randy Quaid (came out in the 80's)
good luck

It's not brand new, but the movie Annapolis was awesome. I heard Lakehouse was awesome and Lady in the Water wasn't too bad as long as you go in knowing that it's not a scary movie.

if by new you mean past ten years, there are too many to list. If you mean new by in theaters now, I've heard great things about Pirates of the Carribean and Superman Returns.
