How do i turn pictures in color, into black and white? I am trying to turn a few of my daughters photos (like the one on my look-up) into black and white. So then i can print them and put them in a scrap book~*

Thanks

Assuming you don't have an expensive image editor, and you don't want to buy one, use the Paint program that came with your Microsoft OS.

To use black and white instead of color
On the Image menu, click Attributes.
Under Colors, click Black and white.

Note: If you change back to color, only new work will be in color.

There are photo editor programs out there that give you exactly that option. MS Photo Editor is one good one for example.
Save your original in color and then experiment with the other formats... even a posterize option.

In most photo programs there is a Convert to Greyscale option. Click on that and save it. You may need to adjust the brightness etc...

Get a "Publishing" or "Graphics" or "Photo" software.
