iced earth and metallica?

i liek listening to these bands,but my mom would always say that there hethan music. does anyone know if they are or is it just my mom's religous prejuidism

well i know for a fact that most of metallica's lyrics, are not blasphemous, or sacrilegious, mostly they have to do with dealing with personal pain and loss. religious freaks don't like hard rock because it's not nice music, it doesn't talk about puppies and babies and BS like that, its gritty, real, and honest.

no, I'm pretty sure the band members are not against religion. the lyrics contradict their personal beliefs for the sake of aggression.
