You will get hungry. It is ok to lose some weight in the begining. You will certainly gain it later. I lost quite a bit in the begining of all 3 of my pregnancies, mainly from being so sick and not wanting to eat. That will change in the next trimester. Usually about month 4-5 you start getting a little hungrier and morning sickness is gone. It would actually be more worrisome if you were gaining weight at this point. The baby is extrememly tiny right now. Just make sure that you are taking your prenatal vitamins and that should help. Good Luck & Congrats on the new little one:)

I will warn you now. DO NOT gain too much weight in the first trimester.
it is ok to lose a bit of weight, there is no reason AT ALL to eat more right now. not at all.' as long as you are taking vitamins, getting moderate exercise, drinking water and eating healthy, don't worry about it.
You don't put on most of the weight in pregnancy until the second trimester.
If you are one of the lucky ones, you will only gain 35 lbs or less.
I gained almost 70 with my first, and let me tell you, it ruined my stomache. I have to get surgery to correct it, it would be the only option. So, make sure you dont' gain too much weight with your pregnancy, and constanty put oils and cocoa butters on your stomache, butt, hips and breasts........

Every pregnancy is different. I gained 8lbs in my first trimester, my sister in-law lost 10... after I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes (at 10 weeks) my doctor modified my diet and now, 8 weeks later, I've gained a ripe total of 9 lbs since the beginning.
It's nothing to worry about. One of my good friends had twins (horrible thing though delivered at 25 weeks when it was unheard of and fortunately they are both happy healthy 20 year olds now) and she still lost weight in her first trimester because her morning sickness was so bad.
I say... it depends on you. Eat healthy and take your vitamins. Make sure you don't dehydrate.

I don't think it is bad I never felt like eating in the first weeks of my first pregnancy maybe some yogurt or a smoothie. I gained 14 pounds my last pregnancy and my first pregnancy I lost almost 100 pounds ( because I have hypothyroidism Dr's. say pregnancy could make it better or worse - I'm just glad it did not make it worse.!!!!) But if your doctor isn't worried about it I wouldn't be either.

Don't worry. You should have a weight spike within the next few weeks.
Many women will get nauseas throughout their first trimester of pregnancy, and some WILL actually lose weight.
If your doc isn't worried, I wouldn't be, either.

I had the same problem. I ate, and ate, and nothing. By the time my son was born I had only gained 12 pounds through my whole pregnancy. He was born a month early and weighed 5 lbs. 7 oz. and was perfectly healthy. dont stress. You will gain eventually and look back at this question and laugh!!! GOOD LUCK!

pick up a 5 or 10 pound weight at the gym and visualize that weight coming off holding the weight in your hands helps bring home just how heavy even 5 pounds of extra fat can be

in the first trimester of pregnancy, most women tend to lose weight. Just wait unitl you get about 5 months, then the weight starts picking up.

Try to relax. I had the same thing with my first son, losing 10 pounds in the first 5 months and he was born at 9 pounds. Make sure you are taking your vitamin and keep trying to find nutritious things that will be good for you and the baby and do not make you sick.
