I think prices are outrageous! Who can actually afford to fill their tanks up anymore. I remember when gas used to be .99 cents, I know we'll never see those prices ever again. I hope we find an alternative to the prices or an alternative fuel source that works just as well. If people cant afford to fill their tanks, they wont be able to get to work. I live in an area where we dont have cabs or buses for transportation and most the time live 20-45 from a larger city.

As much as the gas prices are a pain in mine and everyone elses asses and pockets there really is not immediate resolution to this problem. I figure Im going to have to pay for it anyway so there is no use in complaining. And about the gas companies making profit, If you have an object/substance/material that high in demand and everyone needs it, why shouldnt you be raking in the cash?

It sucks at the pump, but I am a machinist, and at work, we are getting a large amount of the orders to produce the engines and pumps that are going to be used to produce more domestic oil in the states, so my overtime is making up for it. Hopefully, us getting the equipment produced in the next few years will help bring prices down, but lets be realistic. Oil companies are making all time record profits, so I believe the high prices are here to stay. I think we need to find alternative sources, and tell the oil giants to stick it up there corporate asses.

Gas prices hurt all of us directly or indirectly.
For example most food gets to markets by truck, the higher costs are reflected in food prices. You get the idea...
Under the gas prices is the short-sighted greed of those who control the oil companies, aided by the Administration in Washington, who has allowed auto manufacturers to write their own regulations. The Bush administration has close ties to Big Oil -including Condi Rice who was an officer of the Chevron Corp., and even had an oil tanker named after her (it has since quietly been re-named)...

It doesn't really matter. Whenever I drive I feel like it's a privilege that most of the world can't enjoy. Let's face it, it's one of those luxuries that have become a necessity as people live further from their jobs, and as the small corner stores close down.

Bush's conflict and his prosperous oil friends. How in thee hell do you boost your fees and you're making an excellent income??? between the oil agencies made similar to 12 billion money in income??? 12 Billlllliiiiioooon money! no longer 500,000, or i will see in the event that they are going into debt. 12 billion! that's money you shop once you pay to maintain your corporation going and pay your workers and stuff. And what they do with it? of direction placed it of their wallet! no longer something stupid on their section like help carry down oil fees or help purchasers! and additionally Bush's 50 million greenback/month conflict (and that i ought to be underestimating that) merely speaks volumes.

It isn't affecting me yet. I think we should abolish the gas tax and then it will be affordable. All those rich fat cats just getting richer off of us makes me want to puke.

I think that it is B.S. I am a parent of four boys...2 mine and 2 that I have custody of. It's hard enough providing for them, muchless having to spend a fortune on gas just to get to where I need to go. Or to get my kids to thier sports events. Plain and simple B.S.......
