Yes, it does get hotter but it cools much faster. Our fool cats prefer the hood of my Chevy Impala after the sun goes down more so than my wife's white Honda. I like my black car, but the other animals don't see it as well and it is a b*tch to keep clean. Keeping it clean seems to make the heat reflect away a little better. The temp after letting both cars sit in the parking lot seems to be about the same. It's the windows, whether they are tinted or not.
Now if I could just convince the cats to prefer white...

Yes. Darker colors absorb the heat more because black is the absense of color; it is absorbing the ranges of rays that would otherwise reflect and make you percieve other colors. White on the other hand, is the combination of all colors, and is reflecting more light to make you perceive white. If a car were made with a mirrored finish, it would heat up even less than a white car.

Yes. That is why you rarely see a black-colored car in the Southern states and often in the Northern ones. Southerners instinctively buy white cars--I sometimes think at least a third of our vehicles are white-colored.

Of course because the darker colors hold the heat and asorb the rays better than a ligher color. Thats why if you wear a black shirt on a hot day you will roast.

definite! it quite is using the fact the black paint on the motor vehicle ABSORBS extra warmth from the sunlight, and so the motor vehicle gets warmer. This actuality is so properly be attentive to, and scientifically documented, that coverage firms will charge you extra for the coverage on a black motor vehicle as against a white motor vehicle, because of the fact the extra warmth reasons the black motor vehicle to fail in the previous than a white motor vehicle, for this reason increasing the prospect of an twist of destiny.

I honestly don't think it's gonna make a difference. If it's hot outside, it's gonna be hot inside the car no matter what color it is. I highly doubt you'll be able to differentiate any difference, when u get in the car, it's gonna be hell.

White reflects heat, while black absorbs it. Black cars will have hotter surfaces than white ones and, other things being equal, will be somewhat hotter inside than white ones. Black upholstery will be significantly hotter than white.

That would depend on the interior color and fabric, and whether one or the other has a/c.
