Is being a liberal a mental disorder?

Listen all democrats are not liberals I just want to make that point. Okay, here is the deal I had a couple co-workers that were democrats but liberal not like I and called me a retard and moron for voting for Bush and supporting a couple of agendas. So, I gave up and had a bumper sticker put on my car saying "Being Liberal is a mental disorder" Well, they got all hot and starting cursing and even had my car keyed. The deal is what happen to my freedom of speech and secondly I thought you all were peace and harmony love not anger and war??? Next deal most liberal are anti walmart big business but yet would have elected John Kerry who's wife is part of a "big corporation" ??? Then we have George Soros who became a US citizen made billions wants the inheritence tax to stay but, yet has millions vested outside the US to bypass this tax. I've seen him as a key note speaker this guy hates america I'm proud of my country check out transcripts online I was told they'll post them up.+

Yup. It's a mental disorder. You've explained it very well using the flip-flop mentality that they have. They stand for peace and tolerance, but as soon as a different opinion comes their way, the venom starts to fly!

So the Cons like to say, and yet would say the great Liberals and Progressives throughout our History, Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and both Roosevelts were suffering from a mental disorder? Indeed, both parties (The Democratic-Republican Party, by Jefferson, and the Republican Party by Lincoln) were founded on far more liberal platforms than either acts today. Liberalism sees the best of America ahead of us, and Conservatism sees it in the nostalgic past. Both ideas are necessary for a functional modern Democracy.

I'm not sure if it is a mental disorder, but I do believe they are out-of-touch with reality. Though a few are quite intelligent, the majority could not go 30 seconds in a debate because they cannot support their thinking with solid facts. I have never seen such an angrier group of people. All you see on this site is Bush bashing and they are totally ludicrous.

I have stated facts on the site with solid reference and they all say it's not true. I don't see any help for them.

Get real. You say "liberal" like it's a bad thing. Get your head out of Bush's *** and wake up to reality. BOTH parties are in it for big corporations. It's just the simple fact that Republicans almost always get the largest campaign contributions from the big corporations. So both are elitist who are not working for Americans--it's just a matter of choosing the lesser of two evils, not matter how slight. And if liberal means wanting to keep Social Security, wanting to keep the surplus for Americans instead this bloody illegal war, and wanting to keep jobs in America rather than giving tax breaks to corporations that outsource our jobs; wanting to keep pensions, insurance, and other hard-earned benefits for Americans earning a decent honest living; the HELL YES--I'm a LIBERAL and proud of it!

sorry your car got keyed...most liberals believe that dissent is an important part of democracy...participating in a democracy is an obligation of every citizen...putting an insulting bumper sticker on your car is not participating in a democracy but rather an inflammatory partisan act...I would not be surprised if your car got keyed again...Bush has polarized this country more than any other president I can remember since Nixon.

99 percent of the time it seems to be the opposite of whatever issue you hold most dear... so it changes from conservative to conservative... and 99 percent of the time it's all propaganda..

if you have half a brain, you know that both sides have their "odd issues" that don't make any sense..
