a model is someone i always dreamed of being but i'm not as pretty and skinny as all the models out there so what sould i do

I have heard a lot of bad thing about SOME (not all) modelling agencies and how they make you pay for photos and photo sessions before they take you on then never give you any work. Always check with the local Better Business Bureau in teh US or Trading Standards in the Uk or Similar organisation elsewhere.

I think a better starting place before you go to agencies is if you have a friend who is reasonable with a camera (do not have to be a professional or even that good just okay) Just take 100 photos of yourself in different poses, clothing and backgrounds then pick out 10-20 nice photos. You can then use this as a portfolio, and even better instead of printing them which cost you money every time, host them on a website and get some business cards print with the website address on and just hand these out instead. This is a far cheaper way of doing it and with no RISK. You should never have to pay to get a job if you do there is a high chance it is a scam.

However if you would like a personal portfolio site please contact me and I will set you on up for free. I can design you a fully personalised flash website with as much or little information and then host it for you. This site can contain a gallery of your photos, personal information, list of work, contact details, etc or if you prefer just a couple of photos and nothing else. It can be password protected and all images will be protected as is humanly possible, or the photos can be available to download.

Just message me here if you want, I am a professional website designer but have lots of free time (and enough money) so I am currently doing free sites for small bands, small artist etc, basically anyone who could not afford them otherwise. first u should look at diffrent catsing calls on the internet...i probley wont get a job ffrom them but going 2 there interviews will give u an idea on what u need 2 kno then u should look a all the real modleing agenses and u will b sorta prepared 4 it...plus u could get an agent so that he will sort out all the good interviews and the bad ones if they ask u 4 money they r uslally not good and in the end they dont give u a job or a anything...good luck!!!dont worry about being pretty or skinny if u have an attatuid that catches there eye something diffrent about ur self that they like most likly they will hire u cause there r some many girls out there who look like that sometimes they want something diffrent so make ur self herd GOOD LUCK!!!

Go to a reputable modeling agency and ask them if you have any potential. Check them out with the Better Business Bureau first because there are many scams around. Do not give them any money for courses, etc. Listen to what they have to say. Very few girls make it in the modeling field. Get an education and you can be successful professionally instead.

Models don't need pretty faces and to be skinny you have to have the figure and the right shape for the clothes , the modeling agency reall don't care about how pretty you are or skinny..You have to have smooth skin and if you don't they put make up too.

You can still be pretty and be a plus size model...Just don't put yourself down...You don't have to be skinny girls in the magazine arent' that skinny they edit your pictures to make it look better..No-one don't look the way they do in the magazine...

Don ' t worry all people are beautiful. Last night i saw a show called " FAT GIRLS " staring Mo niuqe and she had all the big ladies do a model show one lady had to be at lease 230 pounds the wardrobe put her on a to piece suit and she was happy to strut down the run way fat giggling and all . My point is that be happy for who you are. some people that are skinny wish they could be fat . there are some shows that plus size women runways, and they look better than skinny women .

find another dream...maybe it just wans't meant for you...you'll probably change your mind about anyway. Being a model is full of crap. You don't really realize you're a model until someone recognizes you. I suggest you focus on something you could actually use your brain to do.
