This is a clever one that requires a little practice. You bet the bartender or a patron that you can put a dollar bill through a bar straw.
Take a dollar bill and soak it in the wetness which is always on top of a bar and roll it up tightly. After that you just roll the rolled dollar in more of the wetness with your hand. It takes a while to complete this, usually between 5 and 10 minutes or more
.
When you are done, the bill will fit into the end of the straw. Merely blow on one end and the dollar comes out the other.
Most people are amazed, but it can be done. Warning: practice first before the bet!

Here is an old gamblers trick, write the numbers 1-4 on a piece of paper. Starting with one being the smallest and each one getting progressively larger. Most people will pick 3. They really want 4, because it is the largest and people are greedy, so then they settle for 3.
I got hit on this one in New Orleans a while back. A little kid comes up to me and say I bet you $10 I can tell you where you got them there shoes. He is persistent and I finally say yes, thinking this kid is never going to guess where I bought my shoes.
He answers; You got them there shoes right here in New Orleans. Pay up!
He was right I lost $10.
Here is a cheap one my kid would do. Comes April when we got that last freak snow of the season, he would bet with people that it would snow again this year. They all said No, it is almost May or something.
Well came Nov, December of the year, he would come around to collect.

Bet the bartender $20 you can stand on top of the bar and pee into a beer bottle sitting down on the bar but keep the bet a secret to your friends. Then bet your friends $100 you can pee all over the bar and the bartender will be happy.

Here's one I have used:
Take 4 or 5 dice. Bet the other person that you can add up the total number on BOTH sides of all the dice (tops and bottoms) before they can add up just the top numbers.
The Trick: The tops and bottoms of each die always total 7, so all you have to do is multiply the number of dice times 7. If 4 dice, your total will always be 28. if 5 dice, 35, and so on.

I used to drink for free with this one. Toss two coins on the bar, and as you trace a circle around them with your fingertip, ask someone how many coins they see. Just as they're about to answer, ask if they see all "three" coins. Tell them you're willing to bet there are three coins on the bar, in plain sight. If they hesitate, (they will) ask if the trust their judgement, re-emphasize, "You say there's two coins, I'm willing to bet there are three. Are you willing to make a small wager?" The point is to focus ALL their attention on the coins, until they realize they CAN'T lose. I'm willing to bet there are THREE coins, right there, right now. Continue repeating just what you're willing to bet. They bet there are two. (There ARE two.) You bet there are three. They can't lose. Keep pointing to and circling those coins with your fingertip. I actually pick up each of the two coins, one at a time and let them drop back onto the bar as I slowly count, one, two, three, throwing the extra "count" in as the two coins are lifted and dropped. They look at me as if I've lost all senses, and cannot imagine HOW they could lose.
When they accept the wager, you say, exactly these words, "You say there's two coins, I say there's three. You trust your judgement. If I'm wrong will you buy me a drink?"..They'll smile and agree. You say.."I'm wrong, buy me a drink."
If you pitch this right, they get caught up on the number of coins, and don't listen to the words. This has NEVER failed me, and I've done this literally hundreds of times. They laugh, and buy the drink, and can't wait to try it on someone else. Try this once, and you'll see how great it works.
