I am a 30 year old married Indian woman. I want to get my nose pierced and want to wear diamonds. Well the problem is which side of the nostril should I get pierced.
Well my mother-in-law tells me to pierce the left nostril while my friends are of the opinion that piercing the right nostril is more in fashion.
Please help me find a solution Left or Right. What would I look like if I pierce both the nostrils and wear two small diamond studs.

i am a 23 yr old married south indian woman. in our culture we have to pierce in the right so i think left is more fashionable. we think whatever is against our tradition is fashionable. so try a magnetic nose stud on either side of your nose.whichever side u think looks better is the side to get pierced. depend on your own decision and dont depend on others cos then u will get more confused.
P.S - I dont think the side makes so much of a difference so i would suggest to do it on the left and keep ur MIL happy.( keep mentioning to her from time to time that u actally wanted it on the right and pierced the left only to make her happy.

Many of the people I know have their nostril pierced on the left actually. Don't listen to fashion though, do what you think looks good on you. Buy fake nostril studs and see how they look fi you're not certain.
If you want to pierce both I suggest piercing one at a time, like maybe a few weeks or months apart so the swelling goes down and no infections are present.

See if you are doing it because of fashion then the people peirce so many things, even their lips, and what not. But if you are doing it because of your social binding as the culture od India is, then you should choose the left side. And secondly, fashions never remain the same but morals, ethics, social cutures, remain the same or change for the betterment. And secondly when you peirce your nose go for the gold first because gold has the antiseptic factor in it, till your would is healed or till you feel that it is OK to wear diamond.

The norm is to pierce on the left side in northern India and right side in the south. Although rare, some do pierce both sides in the south (tamilnadu etc). If you want to see how small diamond studs on both sides looks like, please email me and I will mail you a snap of mine.

Left.It`s simple .If u fix a diamond studded nose ornament u should b able 2 manipulate it..If u r rt handed only left side is convenient.Or else everytime u need adjustment u need someone`s help.That`s nearly impossible .

According to Indian tradition, if you get it done on the left it eases childbirth pain.
