the media only covers 1 side of anything political so all the bush-bashers will have something to make themselves feel like they are correct!

They cover both sides, but not equally. Most coverage is slanted toward the Israeli side of the conflict for a few reasons.
The official American standing is to support Israel.
It is harder to cover the other side because there is no official leader that is willing to talk to the media.
And the most important one is that americans seem to regard all of the Hesbolah fighters as terrorists, when infact they are using the same tacticts americans used to rebel against the brittish in the revolution.
From what i understand, the Jews were in control of the holy land about 1500 years ago until it was taken over by the roman empire. When Rome collapsed, the holy land was taken over by the Muslim Empire which was reely just a bunch of groups held together by their religion, not a country. It was then attacked by the christian nations during the crusades in the dark ages, and was eventually taken over by the Brittish and remained under their control until after world war 2. At that point the UN gave the land to the Jews because no country wanted to take in the jews that were in exodus because of the war. The new Israeli government took over part of a few other neighboring muslim countries through a big war. They then set up a 2 class society in Israel and the non jews there, who believe they have the same right to the holy land as the jews, are not even treated equally from a human rights stand point, and they only way many of them feel that they can get their point across that they are being oppressed is through terror and gurilla warfare. while the israelis claim that they must segregate these people because of their radical actions.
thats how i see the situation, and i dont think either side is right but atleast thats both sides of the conflict.

Well to me the media is most definately covering one side of the story that is the Israeli part of the story, i dont know why the jews always get a special treatment when all they do is tear everything apart and most christians suprise taken sides with the jews after what they have done to Christ it is just too sad that 99.9% of christians are blind we have read from history and seen from the Mel Gibson Movie"Passion of the Christ" how they where so cruel and mean but no all that matters is the muslims are terrorist has anyone asked why are the muslims acting the way they do has anyone tried to hear what they are facing, they are in a situation where by over night there women and mother are raped and killed and it is okay because the jews are always right. We all are gonna be asked of our actions i just hope that we are clean enough to face God on the day of judgment

the BBC (England) bash Israel every opportunity they get - bordering on the anti-semitic. 90% of the broadcasts tell (and show) damage done by Israeli attacks but they rarely show the damage done to Israel by Hezbollah.
they still go on about when the 4 UN people were mistakenly killed but what they don`t point out is that while Hezbollah (with Lebanon`s) backing were stocking up their missiles - the UN just stood and watched and did absolutely f*** all. i`ve never trusted the supposed neutrality of the UN - but it`s pretty clear whose side they are on here.
i back Israel all the way in this `war`. at least they are trying to move civilians out of harms way - do you ever hear of Hezbollah doing the same - no, thought not!!!

Not me. Our media focuses on the plight of one side Israel. They may show the destruction and the broken bodies of Lebanon, but think the real tragedy comes from Israel.

The war is being reported from the Lebanese perspective. But what do you expect from the America hating left wing TV media.
Monitoring the opinions of many who contribute to answers, I would say that the media and educationalists have done a very good job of indoctrinating many of our young people and those who can't think for themselves.

D Rocker, are you saying Americans used suicide bombers against the British? Did they hide behind women and children?
What are you smoking?
As for the Palestinians, it takes two to tango.
If you were being "oppressed" would you put a bomb on yourself and walk into a school and blow yourself up?
