Had he not adopted the one child, I would have said try dating him for a while. One way or the other, whatever your decision, try dating for a while! He's adopted this child, so he's assuming the role of father to the child. He must now think in terms of the well being of that child, and not his own well being. Are you sure he actually adopted the child, or maybe did he tell you that to make you think higher of him? I would be surprised if he were able to adopt a woman's child he's just dating. Is it possible they are really married? I'm surprised you allowed him to interfere with your second marriage by keeping in touch with him. I wish you well with this, but I must remind you, the grass always only looks greener on the other side, it rarely is. My ultimate wish for you is that you take a little time to be single, find yourself, then consider a relationship with someone who has a little less baggage.

If you are not attracted to him and are leading him on to get what you want you are USING him and that is very low. I understand you may find it flattering after all this time and going through a divorce is not easy so you feel good about being wanted but if you dont care about him why would you even let him consider leaving his wife or whatever she is and his child? You are right it is wrong, so tell him that. Tell him that the two of you have to future together and you have not ever been physically attracted to him. Be honest, lying is just as wrong as cheating.

And please I am very confused, are you saying he may have accidentally gotten his daughter pregnant? 20 years and 2 husband ago is a country song, this is a Springer episode.

Are you crazy? My goodness woman, don't you see through this guy? It's all about him. What makes you think that you would be exempt from the same treatment he's given these other women?

Think about what you wrote. He's had another child by "accident" by another person. Wake up. Don't concern yourself with this man any further.

He is a user. He has financial obligations to 2 children...does he actually pay any support? If you marry him you will have to pay HIS child support and medical insurance. He is a serial womanizer. When you go ahead and disregard all of the advice that has been given to you. Just remember...I told you so.

Wow, what a situation.

I believe the man is not loyal. He offers you materialistic possessions, but the real question you should really ask yourself is "Does he offer you passionate care and love?"

Long-term relationships are based on good communication, mutual respect.

Looks sometimes help, but it's not the most important element.

He could not adopt her child when they are not married.

HOW MANY children will he be paying child support for ? If he will not pay child support for his kids; he's not worth dealing with on that alone.

Someone else said it better----it sounds realllll creepy. You be very careful !
