Iraq is and has always been an Islamic Country. Saddam while in power for the last 25 years has torchered groups like Kurds, and Shis Muslims. His regime itself was Sunni which are also Muslims. He wasn't really anti-Islamic he was more like not willing to share power with the Majority Shia Muslims so he opressed them. Sunni Muslims and Shia Muslims. Yes Saddam kicked out a lot of Shite Muslims out because the are a competeing veiw of Islam. Just as Jordan and Saudi Arabia are Sunni Muslim States Iraq under Saddam was Sunni even though they were not the majority.
The real difference with him gone is that now the real makeup of the Iraqi population is now transparent where before
only Sunni's were visible.

Ha, read your history book! Saddam was the best of both evils jack. Reason we armed him. Lebanon is a different deal. UN was notified of the situation three years ago they failed to implement a protection policy also note that iraeli soilders have been kidnapped and rockets propelled three years ago media has not reported it but it is in the UN documentation. Note, that the UN themselves watched these take place and did nothing about it or help the Lebanese governement. So, hence Israel and Lebanon have what they have sure it's a sad thing seeing civilian casualties. But, when your country is constantly being attacked when do you stand up...They decided it was time. Don't lump them under one "false pretense". Go do your research.

No. You need to get your terms right. Saddam was not anti-Islam, he was anti-Islamist. Islamists posed a threat to his regime.

Iraq has not yet gone Islamist. The Islamist terrorists (no, not quite redundent) certainly see how much easier it is for them to attack the power structure in a society that is no longer under the control of a dictator.

In answer to your question...never.

The country hasn't "gone Islamic." Its already a Muslim country.

And, "we?" Were you there arming him?
Unless you're FROM Iraq, or have visited the place, you probably don't have all the facts.
And, the media is NOT factual.

Oh for gods sake get over the "false pretenses" crap.

Oh, and get over the so called "fixed election" that Gore should have won.

Also, get over the fact that the United States is in a world wide war against terrorism, and that you dont like it.

Have some Cajones and get behind this country that has treated you so well, or get the h3ll out of it.

I am so sick and tired of all of this anti-american propaganda that people spew out of their mass media trained mouths. Stop watching CNN and all of the other main stream media outlets because you are being brain washed to believe utter bullsh|t.

Im not saying you have to like Bush, but you do have to get BEHIND the war effort and help us WIN. What gets me about all of the anti-war people here in the US is that they dont seem to have thought out their position entirely. Sure - war sux a$$, but consider the alternative..... The fanatic fascist muslim terrorists in this world believe that their religion should be the ONLY religion in the world, and that it should also be the LAW. In their minds it is perfectly fine to kill non-belivers, and you know what??? That includes American anti-war weenies like you! :)

Are you ready to die for Allah? Well if so, then keep on spewing your BS out, and keep watching all of the lies on TV, and then you will be doing YOUR PART to help insure that we loose the war on terror, and ultimately our way of life, and even our lives.

You're either grossly misinformed, crazy as a outhouse rat, or a lashing out little liberal. Send me a reply and let me know which one it is.
