Whose idea was it anyway? Why didn't Europe just give back Jewish owned property after the war? It seems to me that someone wanted to finish Hitler's agenda but it didn't quite work out. Were Moslems forced from that land?

What land? it has a name. After the war none of the countries wanted the Jews to return to their former countries prior to the war. Basically they did agree with the Nazis that Jews were sub-human. Hence they offered up the state of Israel. There were Jews already there anyway whom had lived peacefully with the Arabs. The French and the English had already promised the Arabs a Nation of their own. Free from the Turks, but they never mentioned the deal they were making with the Jews of the same deal. When they established Israel they did forcibly remove the Arabs out of Gaza to create a state of Israel and not a state of Palestine. Neither side knew that the French and the English had made separate and private deals with the other. So when the settlers arrived they believed that the Palestinians were stealing land from them that had been brokered with the French and English. From these broken promises has come these six odd decades of war between the Semitic family. Yes, Muslims were forced from the land they had been living on for generations. I have put this is rather simple terms. There is of course a lot more to it than this. I would tell you to do some reading up on history, however, history can be rather distorted and not unbiased. But what I have here is something that can be researched in some history books.

As we all know any war is harsh, but the truth is (as I believe two other people have said before) Jews have never really had land.

After WW2 America and Britain gave that land to the Jews. Before hand it was a British colony.

So to basically answer your question No we wouldn't be having this problem.

If they had not been givin their own nation, I think they would have found themselves in the same situaton as before. People have been trying to "exterminate the Jews " since probably before they were Jews. Most European Contries prior to the rise of Hitler, hated and mistrusted their Jewish populations and anti-semetic theatre was popular all over Europe. But on this note I do think
that nations of Europe were aware of what Germany was doing
and were as spineless and false then as they are now. France in
particular should have no voice on Israel. They were hosting the German "conquers" to a dinner party to welcome them while Jews were being gased.

hmmm
Did you know that in the early 1800's, there were more Jewish people living in that land than any other religion or nationality?

In 1854, Karl Marx went to that area to research the populations, and he wrote an article in the New York Tribune stating the population in that area.

"Jerusalem and the Holy Places are inhabited by nations professing religions: the Latins, the Greeks, Armenians, Copts, Abyssinians, and Syrians. There are 2,000 Greeks, 1,000 Latins, 350 Armenians, 100 Copts, 20 Syrians, and 20 Abyssinians...population of Jerusalem numbers about 15,500 souls, of whom 4,000 are Mussulmans and 8,000 Jews."

Back in that day, they called Muslims by "Mussulmans". But my point is, that WAY BACK in 1854, there were MORE Jews in that area than Muslims. And that is coming from Karl Marx! A GERMAN!

You should also read this article...from an Arab-American:

Here are some quotes in case you are too lazy to read it:

"When Mark Twain visited the Holy Land in the 19th century, he was greatly disappointed. He didn't see any people. He referred to it as a vast wasteland. The land we now know as Israel was practically deserted."

"A travel guide to Palestine and Syria, published in 1906 by Karl Baedeker, illustrates the fact that, even when the Islamic Ottoman Empire ruled the region, the Muslim population in Jerusalem was minimal. The book estimates the total population of the city at 60,000, of whom 7,000 were Muslims, 13,000 were Christians and 40,000 were Jews."

"Even though the Jews were persecuted, still they came to Jerusalem and represented the overwhelming majority of the population as early as 1906. And even though Muslims today claim Jerusalem as the third holiest site in Islam, when the city was under Islamic rule, they had little interest in it.

As the Jews came, drained the swamps and made the deserts bloom, something interesting began to happen. Arabs followed. I don't blame them. They had good reason to come. They came for jobs. They came for prosperity. They came for freedom. And they came in large numbers.

Winston Churchill observed in 1939: "So far from being persecuted, the Arabs have crowded into the country and multiplied till their population has increased more than even all world Jewry could lift up the Jewish population." "

"Then came 1948 and the great partition. The United Nations proposed the creation of two states in the region – one Jewish, one Arab. The Jews accepted it gratefully. The Arabs rejected it with a vengeance and declared war.

Arab leaders urged Arabs to leave the area so they would not be caught in the crossfire. They could return to their homes, they were told, after Israel was crushed and the Jews destroyed. It didn't work out that way. By most counts, several hundred thousand Arabs were displaced by this war – not by Israeli aggression, not by some Jewish real-estate grab, not by Israeli expansionism.

In fact, there are many historical records showing the Jews urged the Arabs to stay and live with them in peace. But, tragically, they chose to leave.

Fifty-four years later, the sons and daughters and grandsons and granddaughters of those refugees are all-too-often still living in refugee camps – not because of Israeli intransigence, but because they are misused as a political tool of the Arab powers."

I would just like to HIGHLIGHT this one FACT:

In 1906, the estimation of the total population of Jerusalem was 60,000, of whom 7,000 were Muslims, 13,000 were Christians and 40,000 were Jews. THAT's MORE THAN 5 TIMES MORE JEWS THAN MUSLIMS. And if you don't believe it, maybe you should go look up that book written in 1906.

I think the reason the Europians wanted to make Israel a Jewish State is because they probably didn't want the Jews, either.

But another interesting fact, even ALL the Muslim countries don't want Palestiniens. Why? Same religion, but why? Quite interesting.

The Jews conquered the Canaanites way back and are the rightful owners of the land since the Original Canaanites no longer exist despite what the Palestinians claim.

Actually, if the JEWS had done what God commanded when they came out of the desert after 40 years of wandering and ORDERED them to wipe OUT every MAN, WOMAN, CHILD AND ANIMAL there wouldn't BE a problem today. They would all be dead.

But, as Yahweh says, "His people are a stiff-necked people..." and they don't always listen. God was trying to save them this trouble, but they instead made neighbors and friends and look where it got them today.

As for your question. Forget about it. Its Israels country, DOESN'T MATTER WHO "HAD IT." Its Israels now. They have 400 to 500 nuclear warheads that says "we're keeping it."

Read your history. If the Jewish people had not been given there homeland they would have taken it. As it was they had to fight the poms who were shooting any body that tried to claim a land of there own. As in later years the good old U.S.of A. made and broke promises to both Arab and Jewish peoples. READ YOUR HISTORY.

How do you explain 200,000 foriegn nationals working in Lebanon prior to the hostilities? 80,000 from Sri Lanka, 30,000 from the Philipines, the rest from India, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc.

Meanwhile the Palestinians complain of a 70% unemployment rate, and are dependent on foreign aid, mostly coming from the E.U. and America, NON-MUSLIM countries.

Sounds like a bunchofshit to me.
