well, that's genetically determined so the data we have are approximates. It depends on how your collagen reacts to the stretch...if it can clear up and go with the flow or it stays stuck and produces those silver lines...

I had a few stretch marks appear on my thighs and lower abdomen at 35 weeks. My niece is pregnant now and at 28 weeks the poor thing looks like Freddy Kruger attacked her. She has bright red and purple marks all the way up over her belly button. Everyone is different…so good luck with yours!!

I didnt get any during first pregnancy,I did alot of walking for exercise and I think that did the trick because I was actually in the best shape of my life after labor! As long as your weight gain is slow and steady, and if you eat healthy and drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated you possibly will not get them.Stretch marks begin at the underlayers of skin so moisturizing likely wont prevent them but it cant hurt!My 2nd pregnancy was with twins so I did get marks in the very last month.I was not happy! Congrats on your baby boy!!!:-)

Well this is my second pregnancy and waited 6 years before I got pregnant again. first pregnancy I had real bad stretch marks and now I can tell that I am starting to get them on my butt, my stomach isn't that big yet, so I guessing that's why I haven't got it on my stomach yet. Actually my stomach looks small and sexy the second time around.

I have had 2 children and pregnant with my third. You never really see the stretch marks until after the pregnancy. Even though you don't see them now its best to be on the safe side and keep the skin on your belly moist. Try johnson and johnson baby oil gel it works really well.

unfortunately it was like as soon as 8 weeks, my body started stretching. i am 8 months now and haven't put on that much weight but i guess just the way my body is, it didn't like stretching. i put vit e oil and cocoa butter on everyday though hoping it will reduce some of the long term effects. so it just depends on your body. enjoy it if you don't have it yet!!

I don't know when they will appear, but if you want to avoid them than you could simply put coco butter (lotion) on your body and drink LOTS of water
