It's called colostrum or pre-milk. It's full of nutrients that your baby can utilize if you breastfeed. You body doesn't make much, but your baby only needs about a teaspoon. It will help him/her pass his/her first bowel movement. Interesting, huh? :)

It may not be milk...yet. The first liquid a baby drinks is not br east milk, it's actually another liquid (forget the name) that is made up mostly of proteins and antibodies. It may be that. I also leaked before my babies were born. It's normal, don't worry.

Its called colostrum it is in your breasts from about 5 months pregnant up until your milk comes in after baby is born,its high in antibodies and excellent for babies first meal.Dont squeeze it out becasue nobody knows if during pregnancy it replaces itself.

If your are just starting to breast feed it may be colostrum.
