I remember goin to the world's fair in Knoxville TN, but where is it now? Does it still exist or has corperate life done away with the greatest fair in the world? I loved it and would like to go to one again someday, but can't find out what happened! does anyone know?

i want to know what happened to the world's fair, when was the last one and where i can get info on it, not about the comparison to tv or why they don't have it now..duuu moron!

After Knoxville, there was New Orleans in 1982 but that was the last one in the USA. In 2002, the USA's participation was withdrawn from participation unfortunately after Congress had not paid membershipfor for the two year.

Television has made World Fairs obsolete; here's no longer any point in spending millions to put up a pavilion to show off new technology and products when it can be beamed straight into people's homes for a fraction of the cost. Maybe if they coordinated it with the Olympics...
