There are always rumours of the anime series starting up again. I would guess that they'll wait for the manga series to end first. Rumiko Takahashi has stated that there will be at least 500 chapters in the story. This week chapter 467 was published, so it will be a little while yet. No word yet on a 5th movie, but the DVD for the 4th movie will be released on August 1st.

In one of the issues of the Japanese Shonen Sunday (where Inuyasha is serialized), there is a brief commentary by Rumiko Takahashi (the manga-ka of Inuyasha) , where she says that she is happy on reaching the 400th chapter of the series. She also adds that there's still many more stories she has to write (before the series can finish) and that for now she's aiming for at least 500 chapters. Currently, Inuyasha (the manga) is on chapter 467. I don't know about the anime though. I read somewhere that the Inuyasha anime creators said that they might continue on the series since they left if off where it could be the ending (or it could continue) cause their minds haven't made up yet. I also read somewhere that there would be a 5th movie (or it could just be a rumor).

there is as I know it no plan's to create any more episodes or movie's.
