Well On A BMW you do not have to go directly to the battery to jump start it. Simply onpen the hood and look on the right side of the engine bay...You should see an open space near the firewall. You will see a black box...open it. Inside will be a nut with a red cable running from it...That is the positive. Then look along the the same side of the engine bay, near the strut tower, you will see another nut...That is the ground....Caution...DO NOT CONFUSE THESE TWO NUTS!!! If you do, you can kiss the computer goodbye...These cars are very sensitive to electronic spikes....On some Model 323i, depending on the year, you can find the positive nut under a cover on the intake manifold. Simply remove the cover and you will see a nut with a red cable running from it. If you are still unsure about jump starting a BMW, then Have the car towed to a BMW Mechanic...Do not attempt to jump it. One mistake and you could fry the electronics in that car.....And that would be costly.

there should be a positive terminal under the hood just next to the steering wheel column. put the red clamp on it and the black clamp on any piece of metal. once the car is started do not remove the cables until you turn on your headlights and your a/c to full blast. this will prevent the computer from shorting out. if all else fails the battery should be under the rear passenger seat or in the trunk depends on the bmw model

In the back. Should be a panel inside the trunk that you can remove to reveal the battery. Terminals are on the battery.

It's the same. You just have to make sure you get the Positive to Positive connection and the Negative to Negative connections right. Some jumper cables have modified clamps to fit the side terminals. Be careful.

On the battery. If you can't find the battery under the hood, you should probably get someone capable to do it for you.
