Or heard of anyone who has? Apparently its really good for you and very cleansing, but I'm worried that it could be bad for you, since doctors don't recommend it but spas do.

I would agree with the first answer. I would like to add, as well, that I heard from a lawyer about someone who did this wrong somehow - I think they forgot to turn off the water or air and anyway the woman's intestines swoll up and I don't recall if there was permanent damage but there might have been.

I would worry, as well, about the risk of hepatitis since equipment is reused even if cleaned and possibly risk of AIDS.

And, who is most likely to use alternative therapies - those with chronic fatal conditions like heptitis and AIDS so the risks go up. And, little is known about Hepatitis C, for instance and how long it lives on surfaces and what kills it.

I think it sounds good in theory but would be wary for the reasons named by number one and the things I add.

Well of course spas reccomend it, they get paid for it. Hey if you want to put a garden hose up your butt and wash out your intestines, go for it. Not the most pleasant thing im sure, and certainly not the most friendly job to have either. Medically speaking there are many type of enzymes and living organisms in your digestive tract that help greatly with digestion. Washing them out with a hyper or "high" colonic as it is more commonly reffered to, can cause much gas, bloating, diherrea, bowel irritation and since there is other unhealthy bacteria in the water and equipment used on you, you face the risk of some serious infections , and there has been talk of a suspected long term link between colo-rectal cancer and continuous high colonics.

Instead of getting a colon cleanse, why don't you try cleansing your entire body? ISAGENIX is an all natural cleansing diet. My FAMILY DOCTOR recommended it to me! The average weight loss is 7 pounds in the 1st nine-day cleanse! I looked up isagenix, and on their website I found some amazing stories. There is even an ABC NEWS STORY
( http://www.goodmove.com/team/c4part1.wmv... ) that shows one man in particular who lost 22 pounds in the 1st nine-day cleanse!

These products are just amazing. This is not a starvation diet. All natural products actually feed your body while cleansing out all the toxins. This contains NO harsh stimulants. Please check out http://ajwarner.isagenix.com

Please message me on this Yahoo account if you have any questions :]
