Specifically pertaining to the events of September 11, 2001, do you or don't you have a problem with the movie industry making films about the events of that fateful day in the Unites States. Isn't a little too recent? The wounds a little too fresh? For there to be movies coming out, for people to watch and live through it over again, and paying $8-$10 to do it?!?! Some say it's historical, but it's history in the making. We're still dealing with the aftermath, people!
Sorry...got riled up...guess you know my answer.

As far as the movie on the plane goes (I can't remember the name off hand), I think it did the people onboard a service, since they went down as heroes. There were so many fragmented stories, that even as a psuedo documentary, it was good to see them pieced together.

Not to be rude, but you always have the option to not go see them if you think its too soon, or inappropriate.

One of the greatest movies about World War II, Casablanca, was released in 1942. We had barely entered the war at that point, but the movie dealt with some heavy subjects pertaining to the war. It used the war as a subject to entertain, but the movie itself is now part of American history...it is a work of art, even.

Similarly, I believe that if a move about 9/11 is serious and doesn't make light of that day, then it is not disrespectful. For me, footage of that day still takes my breath away. I could not see a movie about it. However, there are plenty of people who would like to remember and learn more about it.

its not really trying to make money u know.i mean it'll help a lot of people in the other part of the globe to know what really happened and let them understand what terrorism is all about and to let them realize how vulnerable they are to an attack and maybe they can find a way how they can protect their self or their community to these attacks.my heart goes to the victims.the 9/11 is also the reason why my husband joined the army.its also a good way of showing that even in these hard times the american people are still together fighting and caring for each other.it is during this time that the people and the nation becomes stronger.

Therapy to deal with any tragedy is to face it head on.For some it may be closure for others it may be painful. But we must be reminded of what we are fighting for in the middle-east.It's not over until it is over.Alot of children do not believe the Holocaust really happened. For future generations 911 must be put in film form so it can be used to educate them.Going to the movies is a personal choice,I Will go to the ones I want and leave the rest.

i think it is a positive thing if you think of it as a remembrance and/or tribute to the events. movies about 9/11 are purely for the sake of bringing us together to realize what a tragedy and what a miraculous recovery. if someone made a comedy of the holocaust, that would not be appropriate but otherwise: the obvious intention is simply to create a memorial
