so many people blame God for what's happening...some atheists even assert that God doesn't exist because they say that God isn't even doing anything to save those who ask for His help...but really, is He to blame for what's going on?

I have pondered this question as well. In Genesis we are told that God created the world. We are also told that man has free will. So, my philosophy and theological studies have given me the understanding that man has ruined the world under his own free will. A power God gives us of a collective unconscious allows us to stop insanity, but so many people argue over this ability that it rarely gets done. I have seen it work many times, but not in a worldly capacity. I think it will take something dramatic that affects the whole world at one time to have this type of collective unconsciousness to work. We can only wait and see.

God does run the planet, but he still gives mankind the free will to make his or her own choices. He also gave mankind the authority over the earth and all it contains, but once again man has failed. I mean what kind of god would create mankind only to make them nothing more than programmed robots that he controls on a string? The awesome thing about God is that he did do something to save those who ask for help, he came to earth in human form know as Jesus Christ and died for our sins. Once again he gives everyone the free will to accept this. People are real quick to blame God when they are not willing to take the responsibility for their own mistakes, or the affect and influence their own mistakes have on others. Just look at all the hate, violence, war, and so on that is a result of centuries of mankinds greed and lust for power. The condition of our planet will only get worse as time goes on and mankinds greed and lusts will also get worse, and eventually mankind will end up destroying the planet. But those who have faith and have recieved his gift will live in a new earth where HE will run things and we will never be God, but we shall be LIKE Him, with a renewed mind and spirit, and all evil and evil influence WILL be destroyed. To be with HIM you have to BELIEVE Him. If anyone chooses not too, then that is their free choice, just don't condemn those who do please. I am just answering a question.

I personally don't think God is playing any active part on the planet. Than again, I am agnostic and don't claim to know anything about God. Ultimately, I think we can blame no one but ourselves.

Well nature is running the planet. Man is ruining the planet. Turning our own home into a violent slum of squalor and filth. Man will be the only one who can save himself and it is wholly unto man that we pray for change. God is a thought. Man is everything.

Whoever created and controlls the constants in the universe runs this planet and all others. And well, if ya don't get it yet, the only one on record of doing such a thing is this being we call god.

Thankfully, this planet, as well as the entire Creation operates according to processes initiated by God. As for God doing anything, one way or another... God is [NSgy] or Neutural Spiritual energy, which is an absolute, which means that God is never other than [NSgy]. God is absolute Love... which is, again, Neutral Spiritual energy... which means that Love is absolute acceptance. The Love of God is given to each individual fully, with no reservation.... it is oneself, or ones Apapsyche [which is the Operating Energy of the Soul] that is inattentive to this Love because ones Attn Aspect of Apapsyche is attached to so many other things of this world.

The whole purpose of life is to "learn" how lonely it is when we attach our Apapsyche to things other than God.

Would you give a 5 year old keys to your car, your chainsaw, and the power of attorney for all your finances...etc? This world is a temporary classroom for all of "us" 5 year olds...(to God, even 90 years is less than 5). It is to illustrate that under restriction and limited power (a 90 year or so life limit, gravity, earth...and close planets), which God did not apparently give the angels (which is why he stopped making them and started making us), what our hearts are made of (the litmus test) under limited power and adverse conditions. Then, He can declare, according to our lives, our heart's allignment to which person, Him (God) or Satan. It is also a classroom for us to "learn." One does learn only in the face of adversity (hence the term for those who get everything they want..."spoiled.")
