WC=Water Closet. My friend lives in Oregon and said the houses around her were all built before people had indoor plumbing. When it became common they changed the closets over into bathrooms, thus the term water closet. Probably not the original meaning, but makes for a cute story.

WC stands for WATER CLOSET, Bathroom,, Rest Room, Powder Room, Toilet.
WC actually refers to the Flush-in Toilet with commode.
