My doctor refuses to give me a vasectomy?

how can i get a vasectomy in the US and not get discriminated for being too young.
i am 15yrs old..

Your not being discriminated against. Your not even at the age of consent in most states. It would be illegal for him to do the procedure even with your parents consent.

the only 15yrs olds I know trying to get a Vasectomy are those who think it's a good way of male birth control. ( which it isn't ) the reason he probably isn't going to give it to you is because, You are too young. You don't know anything about life yet. You don't even know if you want children in the future. If you think you don't well you never know you could change your mind later in life. The other reason is that since you are a minor they will need Parental consent. I doubt your parents will agree with this.They say It's revers-able but even they tell you it's not guarantied.

First, wait till your 30 then see if you really want to do it. Finally If you are sexually active ( which I hope your not and suggest abstinence) wear condoms ( with spermicide ) and practice good hygiene.

A fifteen year old does not need a vasectomy, he just has to keep his little head in his pants. It is illegal for a surgeon to do a vasectomy on a minor. You are not being discriminated against, you are not thinking with your big head. What would happen years later if you decided you wanted to get married and have children and you couldn't. Smarten up and keep it in your pants.

Doctors do NOT want to perfom one because they fear repercussions if you 5 or 10 or 20 years later want it reversed.


To permanently shut-off reproduction in such a way a life-altering decision (and even reversal of it later does NOT say for sue you will have children) and because of it most doctors could face a lawsuit from your legal guardian/parents for even considering giving you since you are not an emancipated minor.

wait why would you want to get one so young? I dont think any doctor will do it on someone so young because of the fact that you may change your mind down the road. And anyways even if they would do the procedure you'd have to get your parents permission first, and I dont think insurance will cover it because you are so young. A better bet is just not to have sex till your ready to deal with the consequences.

Being a minor, you cannot legally get a vasectomy. I suggest you stop thinking of stupid ideas of ways to have sex without getting a girl pregnant. Think of your studies, or friends or family. You could get STD's, anyways.

You are not what is considered a good candidate for the procedure because of your age. I would suspect that you would not be able to find a doctor who would do this for you. The reason is that the younger you are, the more likely you are to regret the procedure later in life.
