As a Dodgers fan, I think it's a good trade for both team because they got what they want. The Dodgers are in a mired offensive slump and they need offense real fast. Although he's no Soriano or Abreu, Betemit is a useful player that can play everyday with all the injuries that the team is going through right now and I think he can make some sort of impact without costing much in the payroll. Plus he is younger than the main guys in the trading market.
As for the Braves, they need bullpen help and fast. Baez is a former closer who could turn around a bullpen that has been horrible for most of the season. The Braves need the bullpen to be effective in order to make the playoffs, and the Braves had wanted Baez since last offseason anyway.

Good deal for the Dodgers ,Aybar and Baez have been around long enough to show they cant play, But betemit has a lot of potential to be a good hitter,I thank dodgers got better end of this deal

It's a good trade for both teams. Betemit being able to play a third base where mueller played before he was injured. izturis injured since last season had to take the roll. The Braves have someone to help out a newly acquired wickman and have Aybar as a good utility player for the banged up braves

I think it will help both teams. Atlanta needs bullpen help and Aybar is not as good as Betemit.

I think its a good trade. I was surprised Atlanta gave him up. The only thing I'm worried about is whats gonna happen to Izturis once kent gets back.

This trade will have minimal impact for both teams. It seems to be more about depth than anything substantial.
