yes they have a choice to be that way. Free will to either follow godly things or evil(sin).

I don't think anyone can help being gay. I have had this conversation many times with my friends. I don't think anyone would wake up one day and decide to be gay if they have been straight all their life. Why would someone choose a lifestyle that could make them an outcast and be ridiculed by others? Some teenagers commit suicide because they can't accept their own sexuality. So, why would anyone think it is a choice? Either gay people accept who they really are or they live a lie. Is it fair that they should go through life being unhappy because they can't live the way they feel? I don't think so. I think everyone should pay more attention to their own lives and not judge everyone else's.

I am a lesbian and I can say from the heart that this is not CHOSEN. I have known since I was 8 years old and was miserable with my life of hiding who I really am. I didn't come out until I was 23 and met the love of my life. And believe me being raised strict Southern Baptist I had always been told that this was wrong. I lost family members and many friends over coming out and it really hurt, and I am now 38 years old and been with the same woman for 15 years. My life has not been an easy one because of my being gay. Believe me....No one in their right mind would CHOOSE a life of harassment, bashing, preaching, and the comments made about homosexuals that really hurt, as well as losing family and friend over the person that you are.
Also it is a scientific, proven fact that people are born this way. There has been much research on this topic.
Again believe me, I would have never CHOSEN this life....It is simply who I am. And if God did not want this to happen why does he allow us to feel the way we do about the same sex?

No they do not choose to be gay. This is a common misconception. I have a brother that is gay, and a step daughter that is gay. Neither of them are gay by "choice". It is just how they turned out. Both of them tried the "straight life", and it just didn't work out for them, no matter how hard they tried. It doesn't make them bad or immoral. Just different.

No they don't choose. We were made to love eachother's hearts mind and souls. Not by what they look like.
