How about "Gnash." It sounds like "nash," but it means this (from dictionary.com):

gnash
tr.v. gnashed, gnash·ing, gnash·es
1. To grind or strike (the teeth, for example) together.
2. To bite (something) by grinding the teeth.

So, the robot would be gnashing his/her "teeth" every time something happened.
