Through experience and many a long winded response I have learned to be cautious about asking that particular question. 'How's it going' seems to be a much safer question at times.

A lot of times I ask it just to be friendly and I will say oh fine before the person has asked me the same question back :)

Yes but cautious who I ask "How are you?" If it's a older person I won't ask don't won't to feel myself getting older with them as they tell me all that's wrong with them. Younger people. Hear them too. They're answers usually . Sup, aariite. (ever how you spell that) . Middle age . yeah I hear them too when they answer. When the ask me how I am. "Sup, aariite"

Sometimes I do. But when they ask me that question, I wonder if they really do care when they ask that question and sincere about it. When I ask that question, it is of my sincerety in asking and not just because.

I don't say that... I say " HEY NOW!!!" It works on many levels. When people ask me " how are you ?" I reply " they say I'm good- why what did you hear???"
