#1 because the information inside the commas narrows down which sister.

#2 uses the commas to string a few adjectives together and #3 add information about Rhode Island as does #4 . The only option is #1.

Number one. This is because who is restricting the statement about being a laywer.

Senstence two is not, those are all simple adjectives, neither is three, same reason, and four is simple a statment, there are not multiple nouns to be restricted.

Re-read your textbook. Not understanding is part of growing up. YOU must to learn to study your textbook and ask your teacher questions. This is a valuable tool you will need to have if you decide to go to college.
