Definately G1. I still have the very first four original ponies. I remember being very mad as a kid because I thought the MLP at hasbro were ripping off my ideas somehow. Like I would play with the original Cotton Candy and think "man it would be great if they had baby My Little Ponies" and then *poof* baby ponies were manufactured. Then I remember thinking it didn't make sense to have the mommy and baby ponies without the daddy pony (my ponies weren't going to be those types of girls) and then *poof* they marketed the boy ponies.
I remember thinking (at the age of 5) that a toy company should pay me for my opinion because I obviously had good ideas.

G1 Had great ponies (glow ponies, sea ponies, etc), but G3 has some cool colors and styles too! I'd vote for both!!

Hey being a guy i too love little ponies in my childhood days and even watched its animation tv series and movies also... Ponies are so beautiful and adorable...no wonder boys too got attracted to it....i hope 'my little pony' lives longer than forever...greatest fantasies of all....

That's hysterical! G1,2, or 3! Personally, the G1's since they were the ones I had. You can never go wrong with a classic.
