I have been playing a little over 2 years
first thing is that helps alot
learn how to read tabs its really easy...
then do little warm up's
1 2 3 4 down each string
and so on and so fourth
keep doing those until you can go all the way down and all the way back up...
never just give up because your fingers hurt
make sure you keep it tuned if it isn't tuned good you will lose confidnece in your playing....
play with friends that play this helps alot.
start out with simple things like smoke on the water.
you can contact me if you need any help

Yep, I do. I have been at it for 40 years and it never gets old. Stay with it and as Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple once said,
" Just steal from everybody". I am a Les Paul collector and no other guitar has the appeal that they do. I have some Stratocasters and other Fenders but a Les Paul played through a Marshall is the most kickass noise one can make. Stay with it and develop a style all your own and enjoy.

I've been playing the guitar for 24 years. The best way to learn is to pick things up from other guitarists that you might meet along the way.

I'm currently learning guitar too! I am at about the same level you are so I don't really have any advice that you don't know.

I play bass guitar.
I have a Fender Squire Precision Bass. It's sweet.
I just got a kickass strap which is yellow with "POLICE LINE DO NOT CROSS" written across it.
Rock on.

I've been playing for 20+ years , and the only advice i can give you (besides practice practice practice) is that you get back what you put in, and keep your mind and ears open.

i've been playing for a few years, just practice. you can "train" i guess you could say by looking up tabs and playing songs that you like so you already know the melody and could play along if you have the song. if you want to go to www.ultimate-guitar.com
