I know already I need a class B license, what schools close to Seattle are best? How do I get my foot in the door once I graduate? What are the best companies to go to?

Well most companies have a school at their establishment and will train you. After you get your CDL, you go to work for them driving their trucks...You could do that and hang that job for a while...Get at least two years experience behind the wheel then you can get your foot in any firm willing to hire truck drivers whether it be dump trucks or freighters....Good luck. Oh as long as you have a CDL, there are lots of driving opportunities out there if the dump truck doesn't work out.

Commercial Drivers Services has a dump truck class. Also the Teamsters have an apprenticeship as well.
