Ibuprofen is a good over the counter pain reliever but if your pain is that bad you need to get something stronger. Naproxen Sodium and/or codeine can help. In Australia we can get these over the counter but I don't know if you'll need a prescription where you are (ask your mum, she'll probably know). Always check with the pharmacist/doctor about taking new medications as they can cause allergies and asthma in susceptible people.
I also find that a hot bath or hot water bottle can help, as can a long walk.
If the pain is that bad I really recommend that you see a doctor either now or before your next period as such severe pain is not normal and is often linked to other problems (ovarian cysts, endometriosis etc.).
Most likely the cramps will have settled by Monday and band camp will be no problems. If the cramps do persist until then I'd hazard a guess that something is seriously wrong and you need to get medical help ASAP.
Good Luck!

The man or woman who replied first is more often than not proper, I have the identical main issue you do. I've attempted more than one matters and my Doctor has me on Birth manage so my ovaries can close down and heal. I had been on Birth manage for a 12 months now, and it is helping a few-what however I have got intervals whilst on it, and now that I've stopped delivery manage, my interval could be very abnormal. I am now not sexually lively.

take Advil Liquid jells.
Tylenol hardly ever helps.
Advil works fast and gets rid of the worst pain. Lasts up to 5 hrs. usualy. Just take one but if it doesn't get better in 1/2 hr take two.

Masturbation actually works pretty well to relieve cramps, if you're into that sort of thing.
