Tall people??? (you may notice that my details are smooshed for lack of space) Thanks for the help.?

Question

You know...lots of people want to change their appearance.I'm thinking that being tall isn't all that great.I'm a 13 year old girl. People are intimidated by me because of my height,I mean I've never been treated my own age...even my parents expect me to act like some 16 year old(which I do look like,see,I don't have13 yearold sized curves)!You know...I've never had a boyfriend or anything because all of them my age are still 5 feet tall(or something in the like)What would you think or say about me if you knew me?What is your opinion of tall people?Freaks o' nature(some feel like that,including myself),beautiful,or do you feel indifferent?I've beentrying to embrace my tallnessbut at this age...all it is incompacitating. Beingtall is making mylife crummier than it should be!!(Side question having nearnothing to do with the last question:can tall girls wear high heels[boots, pumps...anything!]I lovethem but I think I'm too tall to wearthem)Please do your best to answer all my questions!

I don't know if what I have to say will help, but I have been six feet tall since I was 13. It really does suck until you get to college. It's hard to find clothes to fit, everyone is shorter than you, boys are intimidated, etc. etc. Once you become an adult it is less of an issue (but it never entirely goes away). I say go ahead and wear the heels, make the most of your height. Only the really shallow people would treat you differently. Consider it a blessing that you find out these people are not worth being around up front. Most people are staring because they admire (or are jealous) of you. Even if they don't say it.

Honey, from one tall chick to another it ain't so bad! When I was 13 and 6 inches taller than most of the guys in my school I hated it too!
But now it's not so bad! It is still hard to find cute jeans!! Just be proud and stand tall. As long as you think you are great other people will too!!!
The only thing I dislike about tall women, is tall women who slouch! It doesn't make you look shorter, it is just ugly!!!! My mom used to drive me crazy with the stand up straight pull you shoulders back, be proud! But now I am glad she did!!
The guys will catch up with you, they just grow a little slower.
You don't say how tall you are, I am 5'11".
It really does get better, I promise!!

Girl, I'm 5'7". and I can wear heels. Some people physically mature faster than others.
There will be a period where a lot of the girls you know may be taller than some of the boys. That's because girls hit their growth spurts a few years before boys do. Actually, If I were you're age, I'd probably be jealous of how mature you look.
The only thing you might need is a little more self-confidence.

theres nothing wrong with being tall, i can empathise with your concerns because i have the oposite problem, im quite short. you shouldnt have to feel that people expect you to act older just because you may look older.its best if you always stay true to yourself & remain confident at least that way you are being YOU &at the age you are at.as for wearing heels it depends on how comfortable you are wearing them. if you already feel tall enough or you relaise you look way too tall in heels then go for a shorter heel or flats, your lucky enough to be able to pull it off (id look extra tiny in flats lol). i guess at the end of the day nobody is really completely content with their height or size, but as long as you do what keeps you comfortable and not worry about what people think or say you will be happier.

I dont think your a freak just because you look older than what you really are. Heck I know a girl who is 13 and is taller than me, its not unnatural and alot of guys like tall girls. I wouldn't say anything about it or even think about it if I actually saw you :P. I wouldn't think that there would be a height limit to high heels or anything like that.

embrace it! adopt the whole tall model look! at our age guys are always short, it's their fault, not ours. But it doesn't matter at all if slow dance with a guy shorter than you or date one. You're lucky you're tall and look older because in high school the older guys (and hotter guys) will all want to go out with you! most importantly, don't slouch to look shorter because that's just not healthy or pretty. You can definitely wear heels and strappy ones too! Strut like you're proud of your model height and people will love it. And i totally don't think you're a freak of nature at all (don't think like that!)!

i once talked to someone who saw a tall girl, and was amazed because she was graceful and held her head up instead of trying to slouch and get shorter somehow. that's what she saw in the person, her gracefulness and confidence. I no its not easy being tall w/ all de boys short, but they will get tall, taller even. THEN, if u got confidence, u'll get boys.


if u can find a way for boys to like me, tell me. i'm too skinny, but not anerexic. even my friends r surprised that i eat so much and not gain weight. see, everyone says i'm a beautiful 14 year old girl, but I WANT A BOYFRIEND SO BADLY!!! i don see why they don see that i'm "beautiful". i wish i could give good advice like that for myself

hey your lucky to be tall..im not short ..but would kill to be taller because i want to be a model...something good will come from your height later on in life don't worry what other people think!just be yourself and people will like you for that not how tall you are

you are fine the way you are, so go ahead and put on those high heels! just be confident in who you are, even if you have to remind some people that you're only 13.
